Mukarama Community Tree Planting, a grassroots initiative under the Development Response to Displacement Impacts project (DRDIP), has burgeoned into a beacon of success. Located in Mukarama LC1 within the Iringa watershed, Mpara sub-county, Kyegegwa District, this community-driven project has transformed lives and the environment.
The Kyeisaza Community Energy Saving Cook Stoves project, initiated in 2022 with a funding of 52,682,201 Ugandan Shillings, has revolutionized cooking practices and energy consumption for forty-two beneficiaries in Kyeisaza village, Buraro ward, Wetege watershed, Kakabara sub-county, Kyegegwa District.
In the heart of Kitemba LC1, nestled within the Rushayumbe watershed in Rwentuha sub-county, Kyegegwa District, the Kitemba Community Tree Planting Project stands tall as a testament to the power of community-led initiatives in sustainable environment and natural resources management.
The Ngangi Community Solar Project, funded in 2020 with 58,384,161 Ugandan Shillings, brought light and technological innovation to Ngangi village in Kisiita parish, Wetege watershed, Kakabara town council, Kyegegwa district.
