Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the following vacant posts. Applications must be submitted in triplicate on Public Service Form No.3 (2008) to the Secretary, Kyegegwa District Service Commission, P.O Box 99, Kyegegwa not later than Friday, 16th of October, 2020. The application forms are obtainable from the District Service Commission Office.

The applications should bear the advert number (Internal Advert No.1 of 2020) on top of the first page of the application form, the tittle of the post followed by the reference number specified against the vacancy with day time telephone contact.

Applicants should attach to each form a set of certified photocopies of their academic certificates and transcripts, recent passport photos, copies of appointment and confirmation letters, a copy of the Republic of Uganda’s National Identity Card, copies of dully filled and signed staff performance appraisal forms (PSF 5) for the last three financial years. Job Title : Senior Records Officer (01)

Job Purpose: To continuously identify, research, collect, analyze process, store and avail information for policy formulation and decision-making in the District.

Qualifications: An Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Library and Information Science or An Honors Bachelor Degree in Records Management from a recognized University.

Experience: Should have a three (3) year working experience as a Records Officer in a public or a reputable organization

Key Duties:

  1. Collecting, analyzing and processing data into useful information.
  2. Identifying, collecting and storing information and publications for easy access by decision makers.
  3. Initiating, formulating and developing policies related to resource Centre issues.
  4. Managing and maintaining data bank in the resource center.

  • Minimum of twelve years working experience, three of which should have been at Deputy Head teacher or Principal Education Assistant level with administrative responsibilities

Experience: Working experience of three (3) years with exposure to environmental management issues and practices gained in Public Service or reputable organization.

  1. Sensitizing the public on environmental policies, laws and programs on conservation of the environment

Job Purpose; To control tsetse flies, game and vermin plus the promotion of productive entomology.

Experience: Six (6) years working experience and three (3) of which should be at Senior Agriculture Officer Level or equivalent level of experience from a reputable organization

  • Should be a registered Engineer with Uganda Engineers Registration Board (UERB), communication and leadership skills and able to coach and develop subordinates.
